ServicesTrust Women Fund provides loans, and occasionally grants, to women who need help paying for an abortion and cannot afford one.
Please keep in mind that abortion assistance funds have small budgets and must help many, many women. You will be responsible for at least half of the cost of your abortion.
First, determine how much money you have right now and all the possible ways you can acquire the amount needed.
- Can you borrow money? From whom and how much?
- When will you receive your next paycheck or other income and how much money can you take out of it?
- What other ways can you raise money? Consider these: hold a yard sale, pawn something, find a temporary job, do odd jobs, baby-sit, clean houses.
Add up the figures to determine the amount of money you can raise quickly for your abortion. If you cannot raise enough to pay the full amount (usually $600), you can apply for a loan through the Mountain Country Women's Clinic.
To apply for a loan, call Mountain Country Women’s Clinic (phone: 406-222-7555 or toll-free: 877-212-7555) to schedule an appointment for your abortion. Your application will begin with that first phone call. If you qualify, the loan will be approved before your appointment, usually within two days. Please do not contact Trust Women Fund for loan approval. We work only through Mountain Country Women's Clinic.
If you are eligible, Mountain Country Women's Clinic will also help you apply for Medicaid. Community Health Partners (CHP) can also help you with Medicaid and provides sliding fee scale medical and dental services, free educational and parenting classes. See Links for more information.
Trust Women Fund asks that you repay the loan as soon as possible. Without repayment, we are unable to continue to help women and girls like you. Please send any amount you can, as often as you can. Your payments will go directly to help others.
